ABOUT US
JONALFA Hope International Foundation (JHIF) was developed through several years of philanthropic and charity works by the founders; Air Vice Marshal Chris Chukwu, Pastor Mrs Anita Zugwai Chukwu and their team of like-minded, dedicated Volunteers. Passion for the less privileged was nurtured in the Air Vice Marshal from the childhood experience of hardship during the Nigerian Civil War. Personal experience as a member of a displaced family and exposure to the terrible state of women and children in the Eastern Nigerian enclave registered a strong and indelible impact on his mind and spirit.
This passion was to be further provoked several decades later when the AVM found himself serving in a United Nations mission in the UNITA-controlled part of Angola where he was in charge of one of the camps for displaced families in the South East Region (Cuando Cubango Province). However, the encounter that launched him and his partner into full charity work and the decision to become a philanthropist was the revelations from several Biblical instructions on man's responsibility. Paramount among these is the value of the love of man for fellow man and the numerous emphases on the poor, the widows and the fatherless.
In summary, the truest form of serving God (“pure religion”) is caring for the weak and the poor, typified by widows and the fatherless without losing sight of righteousness. James 1:27.
Inspiring change through compassion.
